Description
This species can be found throughout the United States while on migration, and breeds during summertime in Canada and Alaska.
The Red breasted Merganser can be found on the ocean, in rivers, or on large lakes.
The male of this speices has a bright orange bill and during the breeding season, the head turns iridescent green.
THe female is more of a rusty brown color, still with a bright orange bill.
