This is a limited edition, fine art print, whose life-size Audubon image was uniquely captured through a direct-camera process, resulting in a spectacular one-to-one transfer of detail.

This spectacular lithograph is created from an original engraving from John James Audubon’s renowned “Birds of America” book from the 1800s. It is printed on a heavyweight, acid-free paper recommended by the Library of Congress for archives. It uses fade-proof inks on paper specially toned to match the average color of the antique originals.

This image is produced by Princeton Audubon Ltd., in an edition of 200 prints. Each print is embossed with the Princeton Audubon seal and is uniquely pencil-numbered.

Princeton Audubon prints are known and collected for their detail, color and fidelity to the original, as well as their beauty, which is not surprising since an actual “Birds of America” original was physically used in the production process.

Fantastic image of this elegant, yet rare, bird. One of the few images that contains a complete cityscape in its background. This image features a view of historic Charleston, Carolina in its background. This appealing, balanced composition features a variety of neutral tones which will complement just about any decor.

This Princeton Edition was printed on heavy, acid free, museum-quality paper using specially designed archival inks. This is an “offset lithograph” – not a “giclee” poster or inexpensive inkjet print. It was created by highly-skilled printers using traditional printing presses, and up to a dozen metal printing plates were used in the complex process.

The result is a truly exceptional print of Audubon’s masterful artwork, unlike anything else available on the market. The printing is so fine that it is indistinguishable from the stone lithograph prints created by Audubon in the 18th century. This is a fine art edition strictly limited to 200 prints. All Princeton’s are hand numbered in the lower margin of the print.

Large prints are carefully shipped rolled and in a rigid jumbo mailing tube. Small prints are shipped flat.
